I want to tell the story of your family in the stage of life that you are living in now. I want to show you that real life is perfect just the way it is. This is why I offer the documentary family session, to remember the beautiful (and complicated and messy) life you are living.
The documentary family session is perfect for the family that is aware of how quickly time passes or that has kids that are unpredictable (like every single child I have EVER met). I am there to reflect back to you just how wonderful your life is in all the tiny little moments and details that you sometimes miss when you are in the middle of living them. Before our session we will talk about what your family values, but we will not make a 'shot list' (images that I promise to deliver). Instead I will come and observe and document. Throughout the session there will be images that highlight the connections, silliness, and of course love between you all. These moments are always there whether you are hanging out at home, out on an adventure or at a special occasion. There may be vulnerable moments between you and your kids or your partner, and I will capture those too. Often after those torrential tantrums or passionate parent management come the sweetest reunions (even though it doesn't always feel like it). I have two documentary family sessions; a 4 hour one time session and a 6 hour session divided into 6 sessions throughout the year. I am also offering documentary sessions for businesses, please contact me to talk about how this would work for you.
For the family that isn't quite ready for no direction (or enjoys shopping for new fancy clothes) there are the lifestyle sessions. We will take about 15 minutes to do posed family portraits and the rest of the time I will document your family being you (remember how I said I believe that real life is perfect the way it is?!).
