Hi, I am Joanne.

I am a big picture person who runs on soda and controlled chaos located in Carroll County Maryland.  

I am constantly chasing my two feral children who thrive when they are testing their gross motor skills outside (running, jumping, climbing, pushing limits). And it was those adventures (and my sleep deprived brain) that inspired me to pick up my camera. It enabled me to capture the truth in front of me and to make the moments tangible. I enjoy the unpredictability and mess of real life and my images reflect that. It isn’t all sunshine and rainbows but it is all beautiful.

I want to capture the moments that we as parents don’t always see or remember because life is … life.  

My goal is to help families document the regular/normal/typical days so that in a year or 5 or 10 you can be reminded of those days that seem so long ago. The tiny details that seemed so mundane that were forgotten are now there in your printed photographs (that's right, I want you to have hard copies of those moments). I also want your kids to see the whole picture (which includes you).
